the location was marvellous in downtown and the staff here was pleasant. besides, it was adjacent to the historic centre of lucca, the nearby shop and lucca's old town. last time we stopped we had a bright, spacious room with a view.

The guest house has a fantastic location right next to the train station, walls, and the historic center of Lucca. Lucca Centro Storico district is definitely worth checking out for its attractions.

The bed could be more comfortable, as the mattress was a bit thin.

We had a great experience at Liberi Mercanti - Guest House Affittacamere. Simone, the manager, was incredibly helpful. When we couldn't find the parking, he rode over on his bicycle and guided us to the parking garage. the location of the old house is perfect, right next to the Guinigi Tower. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the room is clean and simple. Simone provided us with excellent recommendations for beach access, food , and sightseeing. the room also has a kitchen and two bikes available for use. If you have a lot of luggage, be sure to ask for a permit to drop it off in the city center before parking outside the walls for free. Cons: Nothing to dislike. 😊.

Enjoyed the convenient bicycle rental service offered by the property. It was so nice to pedal around with the wind in my hair, pretending I'm in a romantic Italian film.

Oh, how I loved the paid airport shuttle service! Paying extra to sit in a car instead of taking a chaotic taxi?

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and friendly staff, especially Simone. He was always there to greet me with a smile, offer helpful advice, and engage in interesting conversations. the location couldn't have been better, as it was centrally located and allowed me to easily explore the charming streets of Lucca on foot. the guesthouse also had a shared kitchen and laundry facilities, which made my stay even more convenient. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Cons: Nothing to mention.

The rooms at Liberi Mercanti - Guest House Affittacamere felt so cozy and welcoming. I loved the comfortable beds and how clean everything was. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring Lucca.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the tile/marble floor in the twin/double room. It felt a bit cold and hard underfoot.

Great amenities and shared spaces! The room was spacious and the bathroom was fabulous. The shared kitchen with a huge dining table was a bonus, allowing us to prepare our own meals when we wanted. The free bikes provided were a fantastic way to explore the surrounding area. The location was perfect, close to all attractions and with beautiful views of the mountains. I also loved the friendly and informative host, who made our stay even more enjoyable.

Just be aware that there are several flights of stairs, which may be challenging for those with mobility or breathing issues. The property is an ancient building with no elevator, so it's important to keep that in mind.
